海南华侨中学是海口市属省重点中学、海南省一级甲等学校，创办于1938年，是我国最早的国立华侨中学，1992年被国家评为“中国名校”。在市委市政府的正确领导和关怀下，海南侨中越办越好。学校分高中与初中两个校区，共占地360亩。学校具有国内一流的硬件设施，校园为现代建筑风格，配套完整，功能齐全。学校注重育人为本，全面发展，弘扬个性，追求高品质、高品位、高品格的校园育人环境，绿色校园成为学生学习、创新健康成长的精神家园。 

 HainanOverseasChineseMiddle School, a  provincial  famous  middle  school  located  in  the 

capital city of Hainan Province Haikou, has been noted as the  first  class middle school  in  Hainan. 

Being the earliest overseas Chinese  middle school in China, it was founded in 1938 and was later 

honored as the “PrestigiousSchool in China” in 1992. Under the correct leadership of the municipal

government,  HainanOverseasChineseMiddle School  is  growing  better and  better.  The  school 

consists of two campuses, one for junior education and the other for senior education, which covers

around  59  acres  of  land.  It  has  been  equipped with domestically first class hardware facilities,

modernized  architectural  style,  and fully  functional supporting facilities. HainanOverseasChinese

Middle  School   has   been   attempting   to  provide  a  high  level  of  educational  environment  by 

emphasizing  its  theory  of  people  centered  education  and  comprehensive  development, for  it 

believes that it is the “Green Campus” that could provide students with a healthy and creative learning

environment, and that could holds the individuality from students’ deeds. 

学校现有学生8000多人，教职工655人。学校师资力量雄厚，获高级、中级职称的占教师人数的75.3%，其中特级教师8人，国家级骨干教师11人，获全国优秀教师称号的2人，近40人为省、市学科带头人。师德高尚，教艺精湛的教师队伍，为学校高考、中考连创辉煌，为学科竞赛勇夺桂冠，为教学科研一路领先，为素质教育硕果常盛做出了卓越的贡献。

Having over 8,000 students, HainanOverseasChineseMiddle School has also produced a host  

of highly  qualified  teachers. The  existing  number of  faculty  amounts to 655, 75.3% of which have 

obtained senior and intermediate professional titles. 8 have been awarded as first class teachers

and 11 “The National Core Teachers” .Two  have  been noted as National Outstanding Teachers 

and nearly 40 have been evaluated as provincial and municipal academic leaders. Being fortunate

to have a group of distinguished teachers with noble morality and professional teaching skills who 

have   made   a   great   contribution   to   academic   research   and   quality   oriented   education, 

Hainan Overseas Chinese Middle  School  has enjoyed  its  remarkable  achievements in College 

Entrance Examination, High-school Entrance Examination, and various discipline competitions. 

学校秉承一切为了学生发展的创新教育理念，教育教学百花齐放，硕果累累：2007年—2010年，学校高考一本入围率连续四年居全省第一名，2011、2012、2013、2014年高考连续获得新的突破：继周怿同学获得2012年海南省高考理科状元之后，2013我校高三（34）班李虹洁同学，高三（2）班何中华同学分别摘得海南省文理状元桂冠，2014高考我校高三（30）班吴湘雨同学再次摘得海南省文科状元！海南省文科前10名，我校5人。高考综合分（含会考分）800分以上63人，700分以上469人；学科学艺竞赛、科技创新大赛等均获多项大奖。同时，学校也非常重视学生文体特长方面的培养，让体育和艺术成为侨中腾飞的两个翅膀：学校田径队2007、2008、2010、2010年获全国中学生田径锦标赛冠军，2009年代表中国参加世界中学生田径锦标赛，勇夺四枚金牌一枚银牌一枚铜牌获团体总分第五名； 2011年6月田径队再次代表中国参加在波兰举行的世界中学生田径锦标赛并荣获团体总分第四名；2011年11月获海口市中学生田径运动会第一名；2012年8月以5金2铜两破全国中学生记录的成绩再获全国中学生田径锦标赛冠军，并获得“体育道德风尚奖”。校学生合唱团2008、2011年两次获全国中学生合唱比赛最高奖——“小百灵奖”，2011年8月参加全国最高级别合唱比赛“金钟奖”获优异成绩，11月获中南合唱周金奖，2012年7月获第十一届中国合唱节金奖，殷力甫老师获“优秀指挥奖”；2012年7月我校获第12届中国青少年机器人竞赛高中足球机器人全国一等奖、高中创意机器人二等奖、初中FLL机器人挑战赛三等奖，我校获科技创新奖，周珺老师获优秀教练员奖。

Annually at our school, teachers cultivate an abundance of great students in accordance with a 

philosophy of both innovation and development in Chinese education. From 2007 to 2012, those

who have received high scores are  in  the  83rd percentile of province  wide college entrance 

exam participants. Specifically, Zhou Yi won the Imperial Science Scholar of Hainan Province 

in 2012. Excellent scholars have made a lot of surprisingly great scores throughout the last two

years. Meanwhile, there are a number of smart students who have won these kinds of national

science competitions. Undoubtedly, ambitious students who love arts and sports have been 

given  chances  to  show  their  amazing  potential,  thus,  both arts  and sports have become 2 

distinguishing features of our school for students. From 2007 to 2010, our track & field program 

has continuously won the Chinese National Track & Field Competition Championship, and one 

of the school athletes participated in the world’s competition on behalf of China in 2009. Again

in June, 2011; The same person went to Poland for the national sport competition and was the 

4th ranked member on the whole team, winning 4 gold medals and 1 silver medal for our school. 

In November, 2011 and August, 2012, they made a breakthrough, winning 5 golds and 2 bronze 

and  these  people  were  victorious  in  the  national  competition,  while  receiving  an honor for 

sportsmanship and teamwork.

Furthermore, the school’s choir got the highest award of the provincial singing contest Little 

Lark Award in 2008 and 2011. In August, 2011, the same group of people won the Golden Bell 

Award for singing and again in November, they got the 1st prize in China South Choir and teacher

 Yin  Lifu  was  nominated  as  the  best  conductor.   In July, 2012; our school won the 12th Annual 

Nationwide Robot Competition Championship and teacher Zhou Jun was given the name of The

 Best Coach.

近年来，学校在各方面都取得了骄人的成绩：荣获 “全国教育系统先进集体”、“全国青少年科普创新示范学校”、“普通高中课改实验学校”、“国家体育传统项目学校”、“全国科学教育基地”、“全国五四红旗团委”、“海南省一级甲等学校”、“海南省人才建设成果显著单位”等一系列荣誉称号。

2007年，学校成为国家汉办设立在海南唯一的“汉语国际推广中小学基地”， 2009年被海南省教育厅确认为“俄罗斯学生交流基地”，2011年9月两个中美合作实验班开班。近年来我校先后与北京八中、美国德克萨斯州托马斯杰弗逊中学、德国卡塞尔海因里希舒茨高级中学等国内外8所名中学建立姐妹学校关系，还与新加坡、澳大利亚、俄罗斯、美国等各地学校建立了良好的师生交流关系。其中俄罗斯学生冬令营、新加坡华侨中学学生夏令营、澳大利亚体育代表团连续四年到我校访问，并组织开展了文化、体育、艺术方面的交流。

HainanOverseasChineseMiddle School, since it was founded, has obtained a great support

and  active  participation  of  overseas  Chinese  and foreign friends. In 2007, the National School 

Base  for  International  Promotion of  Chinese language was founded in school, making it the first 

and  the  only  place  for  International  Chinese  learning in high school in Hainan, according to the 

NOCFL (National Office for Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language).  Later  in  2009, the Base 

was confirmed by provincial Educational Department as “the Base for Russian exchange students”. 

Having cooperated with 8 famous high schools home and abroad such as Beijing No.8 high school, 

ThomasJeffersonHigh School in Texas in US, and HeinrichSchultzHigh School in Kassel in Germany, 

the school also has set up a well cultural and educational relationship between teachers and students

with many countries, including Singapore, Australia, Russia, America and so on. For example, the 

school has warmly welcomed students from Russia and Singapore Overseas high school for their 

winter and summer camps; Australian sports delegation has visited the school in the past four years, 

and conducted exchanges from different aspects in terms of culture, sports, and arts.

Overseas Chinese Middle School are making their efforts with full confidence on compromising those
